After all the moving in and the fallings out, the first proposal and the post-engagement lull, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag eloped last Thursday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Now that they’ve made it official, what will their marriage mean for the show that has chronicled their relationship over the past four seasons?
Will the next season of “The Hills” feature footage captured during Speidi’s wedding ceremony? What have Heidi and Spencer been up to since they tied the knot? To find out, we reached out to executive producer Liz Gateley.
While she couldn’t tell us everything, she did say that the couple’s married life will figure prominently on the series’ upcoming fifth season, and that cameras are still down in Mexico, documenting the couple’s honeymoon. There’s still no word on when new episodes of “The Hills” will be ready for air, however.
“MTV is currently filming Heidi and Spencer in Mexico, as we were expecting to capture them on vacation,” Gateley told MTV News. “Fans will be able to see the exclusive footage from the ceremony in an upcoming episode, and we will continue to follow the newlyweds’ relationship as it plays out in real life.”
While most fans of the show seemed to question the wisdom of the marriage, and their family appeared shocked by the elopement, some celebrities and fellow “Hills” stars congratulated the couple on Tuesday.
“They obviously adore each other and are very committed to one another,” Audrina Patridge told People. “I do think it’s very romantic that they eloped.”

Spurned teen country star Taylor Swift insists her heart has already healed just a month after she was ditched by ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas - and she’s looking forward to finding new love.
Jonas dumped the 18-year-old last month during a 27 second telephone conversation in favour of actress Camilla Belle, who he met on the set of the Jonas Brothers‘ Lovebug video. But Swift is refusing to be downbeat about the love split and has already started the search for Mr. Right.
She says, “You know what? I’m going to meet somebody, someday who is so wonderful, and I’m not even going to remember the other guys. Later on I definitely want to fall in love and get married and have kids. I believe in love, wholeheartedly.”

PARIS Hilton and Benji Madden have ended their nine month relationship, with a rep for Hilton confirming the split.
“Even though they are still in love, they felt it would be better to just be friends,” a source close to Hilton, 27, told USmagazine.
Madden’s dislike for Hilton’s friends was allegedly behind the spilt.
“Benji was overprotective and controlling. He doesn’t get along with any of her friends,” the source added.
“Friends thought Paris had changed since being with Benji and she wants to be herself again.”
An insider added to PerezHilton.com “Paris was fed up with Benji always telling her what to do and bossing her around. She couldn’t take his overbearing ways anymore. It was stressing her out. He can be very aggressive and he was just too much trouble.”
While the source confirmed the couple stayed faithful to each other during their relationship Hilton was spotted cavorting in Miami with her former flame Stavros Niarchos.
Madden and Hilton made no secret of their relationship from the beginning, with both spotted wearing rings emblazoned with each other’s initials
“I’ve never felt so happy and in love, (Benji) is such an amazing guy and life has never been better!” Hilton gushed on her MySpace blog in April.
Madden echoed her sentiments to People in October. “I wear my feelings on my sleeve. I’m very open about how in love I am – Paris and I are very happy.”
